Both sparkler filter and zero hold up filter presses are used to solid liquid separation. The constructions of both machines are same.  But they have different working mechanism. The sparkler filter press is also known as horizontal filter press because there are horizontally arranged plates in filter cartridge assembly. The zero hold up filter press known as reverse flow zero hold up filter press because it works in reverse manner compare to sparkler filter press. The machines have some important parts used in filtration process are as follows.

Filter Media – The area which collects the impure liquids

Liquor – The solution containing liquid and solids

Pump – Used to feed the slurry into filter press

Cake – The solids filtered out of the liquid

Features of Sparkler Filter Press:

• The sparkler filter press stops water loss, corrosion, leak and waste getting out of from product.
•  The filter plates are available in two sizes: Deep and Shallow
• Deep plates are for large percentage of cake holding capacity and shallow plates are for small percentage of cake holding capacity.
• The horizontal plates are used to prevent the cake dropping as well as cracking, thus assuring better filter quality.
• The filtration area and cake holding capacity can be increased or decreased as per requirement.
• Give crystal clear filtration by filtering particles up to 1 micron size.
• Cake can be dried either by compressed air or by insert gas, steam.
